this next series of poetry was created as a result

of a 'women and communication' course that i was a part of.

the professor of this course, a daring, brilliant woman,

gave the students many choices in the work that they would

complete for the course. many chose the 'creative project' as

part of their coursework, as did I.
 

On a wonderful spring evening, we all presented our creations

-- videos, stories, posters, fashion shows, poetry and more.

i created two projects - a video concerning people's views of

feminism, and this series of poetry entitled "My Sister."
 

I simply was trying to express some of the issues and topics

that were discussed in this class.  I was changed by this

experience.  That does not often happen to people.
